Women’s Month Culinary Q&A at 1-800-Lucky

Miami, FL – March 31, 2021 – On Wednesday evening, Miami’s OG food hall and music venue 1-800-Lucky invited women to close out women’s month with a Q&A hosted by James Beard Nominee, Chef Nicole Ponseca of Jeepney. The Filipino gastrobar also recently opened inside the Asian marketplace.

Chef Nicole discussed what it’s like to be a woman in the culinary industry and explored their challenges and accomplishments. The following fearless ladies joined Chef Nicole: Chef Karla Hoyos – Executive Chef of Bazaar South Beach, Chef Valerie Chang – Executive Chef of Itamae Miami and B-Side Sushi, Chef Soraya Kilgore – Owner of Mad Lab Creamery, Amanda Fraga – Sommelier of Genuine Hospitality Group, and Helen Kim – Founder of Liquid Culture Co. and Oori Bake Shop. All women attendees were also able to enjoy complimentary glasses of Lorenza Rosé which was founded by a mother, daughter duo.
