Miami Beach, FL – July 13, 2020 – #fillthefridge is proof that it takes a village.

Over the past four months, operation #fillthefridge has been on the forefront of a real-life humanitarian crisis, pounding the pavement of Miami Beach, feeding the most vulnerable communities that live in our back yard. Founder Mytyl Symancas, along with Leslie Cooper, Jessica Kassin, Erin Michelle Newberg and Mabel De Beunza operate purely by donation – where every dollar goes directly toward a community of ‘invisibles’ that essentially run the Magic City. Behind the scenes of our hospitality industry, they are our hotel housekeepers, dishwashers, bus boys and cooks at most of our favorite and frequented dining establishments throughout the community. Without them – we cannot exist, as Simancas stated “we are all one, we are all human and we all make up this community.”

Ensuring all of their beautiful children do not go hungry, aside from grocery delivery, #fillthefridge assists with basic needs like FPL bills, legal guidance and general care and considerations. Together, this group of five women have also facilitated meal delivery from restaurants like Lolo’s Surf Cantina and Azabu, What’s Soup Miami, Eating House and Islas Canarias via Hungry Post!
