WRE: Tell us about STRATA?
JJR: STRATA Clothing as a company is focused primarily on developing elevated essentials with premium quality at competitively affordable price points. On the manufacturing division we use our resources to provide top tier production and design for regional and international brands. From music festivals to local businesses and everything in between.
WRE: What inspired you to launch a business together?
JJR: Our grandparents have been in the textile and clothing industry for years. We launched our brand in 2010 following their footsteps. My brother and I have always had those influences as a driving force, so it was only right for us to see that through.
WRE: How and why did you get connected with #WRECares?
JJR: Our good friend Marcel Katz (The Art Plug) has always told us great things about World Red Eye. We saw the collaboration with him, Tiago, #WRECares and thought it would be great to help.
WRE: How is your company helping to fight COVID-19?
JJR: Our brand focuses on everyday basic offerings along with a private label division building collections in collaboration with partners. As everything unfolded with Covd-19 we shifted our manufacturing to start supplying cotton masks to donate to those in need.
WRE: Thank you for your generous donation of 5,000 masks! How did your team manufacture the masks?
JJR: We have a Peruvian background with our manufacturing based in Lima, Peru. Our team began sewing back in April so we could start donating as often as we receive masks.
