Spike Your Ice: Ice Cream-Making & Spirits Master Class at SGWS Wynwood
Miami, FL – February 23, 2020 – Creating ice cream flavor combinations that will knock your socks off seems to be Salt & Straw’s philosophy, and this year, they gave Festival guests a glimpse into their ice cream philosophy during this unprecedented master class! Their artisanal ‘farm-to-cone’ flavors are all made using premium ingredients in order to create their signature Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons, James Coffee & Bourbon, Honey Lavender or any of their other mouthwatering flavors – including the Magic City-inspired Panther Coffee & Chocolate Tres Leches.
Guests were able to taste and create the most decadent ice creams in town – with a true SOBEWFF twist – as they mixed, froze and scooped rich and lustrous bourbons, whiskies and scotches into Salt & Straw’s signature flavors for the perfect ice cream cocktail creation! And in true Festival fashion, no master class would be complete without Festival friend and one of Wine Enthusiast’s 40 under 40 Tastemakers of America (2019), Gabe Urrutia, author of Miami Cocktails: An Elegant Collection of over 100 Recipes Inspired by the Magic City (Cider Mill Press, March 2019), who walked guests through the perfect ice cream and spirits pairings during this interactive experience at one of Miami’s newest venues, SGWS Wynwood!
