Miami, FL – February 20, 2020 – SOBEWFF took over Little Havana for a special dinner at Calle Ocho hotspot Cafe La Trova! South Florida’s 2008 James Beard Award-winning culinary sweetheart Michelle Bernstein (Best Chef: South) and world-famous cantinero and 2019 Spirited Award-winner for American Bartender of the Year, Julio Cabrera, opened their doors for a night of indulgence and merriment in a uniquely retro-Cuban atmosphere. They were joined by 2009 James Beard Award-winner (Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic), celebrity chef and successful restaurateur Jose Garces and 2014 James Beard Award-winner (Rising Star Chef) and restaurateur Jimmy Bannos Jr. This talented quartet combined Bernstein and Garces’ pan-Latin flavors with Bannos’ uniquely Mediterranean influences and Cabrera’s award-winning cocktail flair shaken and stirred with spirits from the Shaw Ross International Importers portfolio for a culinary mash-up of New and Old World flavors in the heart of Miami! Marqués de Riscal and Viña San Pedro wines were also offered.
