Miami Beach, FL – February 20, 2020 – It’s no secret that José Andrés, 2018 TIME’s 100 List honoree and recipient of the National Humanities Medal, is dedicated to empowering communities through his nonprofit organization World Central Kitchen (WCK). The James Beard Award-winning chef, 2017 SOBEWFF® Tribute Dinner Honoree and author of We Fed an Island: The True Story of Rebuilding Puerto Rico, One Meal at a Time (HarperCollins, September 2018) is returning to the boutique luxury SLS hotel to host a walk-around tasting infused with global culinary diplomacy. From Mexico to Mozambique, North Carolina to Northern California, the WCK Chef Relief Team has deployed around the world, and José will be showcasing some of their favorite dishes. Alongside the globally-inspired bites, wines from Gérard Bertrand and libations from Patrón will be served, as José brings a taste of culinary adventure – and his commitment to supporting communities in need – to the Magic City.
