Dinner & Reception Hosted by Martha Stewart, Michael White, & Antonio Bachour at The Wolfsonian – FIU
Miami Beach, FL – February 21, 2020 – To celebrate SOBEWFF, the queen of entertaining herself, Martha Stewart, brought her considerable talents to the table at The Wolfsonian–FIU, not only curating an unforgettable evening, but also transforming a gallery space in the Wolfsonian permanent collection. Working hand-in-hand with the curatorial team, Stewart – the newest judge on the hit primetime series Chopped on Food Network, bestselling author of 90 books, entrepreneur and trusted lifestyle expert – re-envisioned a kitchen/home gallery space within The Wolfsonian’s permanent collection. For this reception followed by dinner, Stewart hand-picked one of America’s most acclaimed names in Italian cuisine, Chef Michael White, of the renowned Soho spot, Osteria Morini, and its soon-to-be open Miami outpost, to helm the evening. James Beard Award-winning White is the driving force behind the Michelin-starred spots Marea and Ai Fiori in New York, amongst an array of other successful restaurants, and has been named one of the 40 most influential New Yorkers under 40 by Crain’s New York Business.
Joining Stewart and White to end the night on a sweet note was culinary maestro Antonio Bachour, of the eponymous Bachour in Coral Gables. The whimsical artistry of Bachour has been catching eyes and captivating taste buds for years, since beginning his career at iconic Miami hotspots like Scarpetta and The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort. Together, Stewart, White and Bachour reigned over the night as guests indulged in a meal as sumptuous and inspirational as its surroundings. Perfectly paired with wine from the iconic Heitz Cellars, this was one modern dinner experience that simply could not be missed!
