WRE News: North America Is Getting Its Own 50 Best Restaurants List

Miami, FL – March 5, 2025 – A new ranking is coming to the North American food scene — 50 Best, the group behind The Worlds 50 Best Restaurants, is launching a dedicated list for North America, covering the U.S., Canada, and parts of the Caribbean.

Sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, this marks the first time the organization has focused solely on the region, following similar moves for Asia and the Middle East. Mexico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic will remain under Latin America’s Best Restaurants list.

A panel of 300 industry experts will vote on the selections, with no entry fees or specific criteria required. While the global list has traditionally spotlighted elite tasting menu destinations, the regional rankings allow for more variety.

The first North America list will be revealed at an awards ceremony later this year, with details yet to be announced.
