Miami, FL – December 2, 2024 – Global hub for contemporary street art Wynwood Walls celebrated the start of Miami Art Week 2024 with the theme “Street Art Icons”, unveiling bold new murals, sculptures, and glassworks by eight renowned international artists last night.
This year’s lineup includes creatives such as Askew One, Elle Street Art, Simon Berger, and more, whose works will transform the iconic walls into a dynamic homage to the power of street art. Curator Jessica Goldman Srebnick, reflecting on Wynwood Walls’ 15-year evolution, describes it as “a laboratory for artistic expression” that inspires connection and creativity.
The celebration also follows the launch of Street Art Icons, a new retrospective book chronicling Wynwood Walls’ impact and the transformative power of art. From fine art in the Goldman Global Arts Gallery to collectible artist collaborations, visitors can find endless ways to experience and honor the vibrant legacy of street art.
