Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust’s Sprint for Seniors Bed Race

Miami, FL – November 1, 2024 – The Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust is launching its inaugural “Sprint for Seniors” Bed Race on Homeless Awareness Day, to emphasize the urgent race underway to get senior citizens housed and their homes fitted with basic amenities. This spirited, competitive event aims to raise awareness of the rising crisis of senior homelessness: 1 in 3 unsheltered homeless individuals are 55 or older.

All funds raised will be used to purchase household items and other move-in essentials for seniors who are being moved into supportive housing.
