WRE News: A Look at the Proposed Standard Miami Beach Expansion

Miami Beach, FL – September 16, 2024 -A closer look at the proposed, major expansion for Miami Beach’s historic The Standard Miami.

The renovation plan includes upgrading one wing of the hotel and redeveloping another, although the number of hotel rooms will stay the same. Additionally, six new residential units will be added.

The project brings together prominent investors like Barry Sternlicht, Marcelo Claure, Peter Thiel, and Antonio de la Rua.

Bjarke Ingels Group and Kobi Karp are handling the design, with a review hearing set for October 1 before the Miami Beach Design Review Board.
