Miami, FL – September 26, 2024 – The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science hosted over 150 cultural philanthropists, civic leaders, and science enthusiasts for “An Evening of Discovery: Journey to Space.” This signature fundraising event supported the museum’s exhibitions and community programs. The evening kicked off with an intimate reception featuring performances by students from the Frost School of Music and an exclusive preview of the special exhibition, Journey to Space.
Guests then moved to the Ocean Gallery for the evening’s program and dinner. Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, City of Miami Mayor Francis X. Suarez, and Florida State Representative Vicki L. Lopez shared their insights. Frost Science President & CEO Dr. Doug Roberts, along with Dr. Phillip Frost, addressed the audience before a keynote presentation by Dr. Paul Sutter, an astrophysicist and theoretical cosmologist at Barnard College, Columbia University. Dr. Sutter captivated attendees with insights that connect the mysteries of the universe to everyday life. Among the notable attendees were Dr. Phillip and Patricia Frost, Frost Science Board Vice Chairman Richard C. Pfenniger, Jr., and City of Miami District 1 Commissioner Miguel Angel Gabela.
