Miami, FL – July 15, 2024 – Getting behind the wheel with Bouchon’s Chef Thomas Keller for Drive 305 with The Collection

“Welcoming business leaders from the Coral Gables community to the bistro for a special meal made it a truly memorable occasion,” shares Chef Keller, the visionary mind behind Coral Gables’ Bouchon Bistro which offers classic French fare right inside the city’s historic La Palma building.

From his time spent in France, Thomas Keller realized that the bistro was the absolute perfect model for Bouchon, bringing a taste of the country’s rich culinary repertoire to Miami.

“Working with The Collection  at Bouchon in Coral Gables was a pleasure,” shares Keller. “The evening started with a welcoming display of Maserati vehicles like the MC20 Cielo and the new 2024 GranCabrio.”

WRE: What was your inspiration for opening Bouchon Bistro in Coral Gables?

Chef Thomas Keller: Our inspiration for opening Bouchon Bistro in Coral Gables stemmed from several areas, with the location playing an extremely important role. We were enamored with the rich history of the La Palma building and its significance to the local community. We also wanted to introduce our classic French bistro to the Coral Gables neighborhood and provide a new dining experience.

From my time in France, I learned that a bistro was the perfect model for Bouchon. It’s not just about the ambiance but also about the dishes- unpretentious yet of the highest quality. A bistro is a place that invites gathering and lingering, more than just a bar or restaurant. It’s a community hub that inevitably grows around it. My vision for Bouchon Coral Gables is to create a place where relationships are not just made but also strengthened. A place that fosters a sense of community and belonging.

WRE: How do you feel about the Miami dining scene?

TK: Miami is undoubtedly a culinary destination. It’s amazing to see how quickly the culinary scene is evolving, especially with the influx of new restaurants, new talent and the more recent introduction of the Michelin Guide.

WRE: How was your experience behind the wheel of the all-new Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo?

TK: It was great. The GranCabrio is a great drive that blends luxury and performance perfectly.

WRE: What elements of the Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo stood out the most to you?

TK: Everything about this car is notable. From the sleek design to the performance, it’s a beautiful car. The attention to detail of the interior really adds to the overall luxury and comfort.

WRE: You also have the Surf Club Restaurant at the Four Seasons Surfside, do you plan on opening any other concepts in South Florida?

TK: As for our plans in South Florida, we’re looking forward to the upcoming opening of Taboo on Palm Beach’s historic Worth Avenue. It’s a unique opportunity for us to reconnect with my hometown and share our Continental cuisine with South Florida.
