Miami, FL – June 24, 2024 –Leku Miami, the popular Basque seafood restaurant in Miami, is closing its doors.

The restaurant, located at the Rubell Museum in Allapattah, opened in 2020 and earned Michelin recommendations for three consecutive years. Despite efforts to attract more customers with a seafood-focused rebranding and the expertise of chef Carlos Garcia, the largely industrial neighborhood failed to develop quickly enough to support the business.

Partner Terry Zarikian expressed hopes of relocating Leku elsewhere in South Florida. Leku’s last day of service will be June 30, offering one final chance to savor its acclaimed Basque dishes.
