WRE: What inspired the decision to open your first flagship store?

Isabela Grutman: I believe that jewelry is about experiences and that you have to see it in person, try it on, and that’s when you fall in love. I wanted to create an environment where people feel comfortable.

WRE: The store is absolutely beautiful. Can you tell us about the design ethos and inspiration behind it?

IG: The inspiration is chic Brazilian- wood & travertine – worked with designer Cristina Souza and in the first mood board she saw my vision straight away.

WRE: Walk us through the guest journey and what they can expect when they walk in.

IG: I want the guests to feel very comfortable walking the store, to feel like it’s fun to try things on, add layers and experiment with different ways of wearing jewelry. I like things that are worn everyday so I want guests to try it on and hopefully never take it off & build their collection.

WRE: Tell us about the jewelry line. What are some of your favorite pieces?

IG: I love all of them, it’s like choosing a favorite child. But I am really excited about the new collection I am creating. There is a flower collection that is really beautiful, a leaf collection that is amazing – 18k with diamonds.

WRE: Are there any exclusive items offered at the store that are not available anywhere else?

IG: Yes, we will have a lot of exclusive items, especially our bigger pieces which are all one of one.

WRE: How has your background and Brazilian roots influenced the brand’s identity?

IG: Brazil is a big part of me, so everything I create I am always inspired by Brazil. I want to show who I am, the way I grew up and I think the store is a great representation of that. 

WRE: What are your plans to expand the brand further?

IG: It’s chic but comfortable. I would love to open more stores – all over the world
