Miami, FL – January 13, 2024 – Diving into the rising phenomenon of padel, pickleball’s upscale cousin, that’s captivating elite circles and drawing the attention of celebrities and investors. The emerging sport, born in Acapulco in 1969, blends elements of tennis, racquetball, and squash, boasting an intimate appeal with glass walls on a shrunken court. While there are currently fewer than 300 padel courts in the U.S., the sport’s popularity is skyrocketing, fueled by tournaments, rapidly increasing court construction, and influential endorsements from stars like Leo Messi, David Beckham, and Andy Murray. Popular amongst the country’s padel courts is Reserve Padel in Miami. Inspired by his passion for the sport, Wayne Boich launched the court located along the McArthur Causeway last year, most recently expanding to New York.
