YoungArts Celebrates Miami Art Week with Private Dinner

Miami, FL – December 4, 2023 – YoungArts kicked off Miami Art Week with an annual private dinner on the YoungArts Plaza. The event was held in collaboration with acclaimed artist Jeffrey Gibson, Site Santa Fe and the Portland Art Museum; and sponsors Anthropologie and 7G Group. The event began with cocktails and an opportunity to view the YoungArts fall exhibition Desde el Charco featuring works by Isabella Mellado (2014 YoungArts Winner in Visual Arts) in the YoungArts Gallery. Dinner followed with a three-course menu under a perfect Miami sky, illuminated by the iconic YoungArts Jewel Box. YoungArts Board Chair Sarah Arison and Jeffrey Gibson addressed attendees and showed a video that showcased Anthropologie’s partnership with YoungArts and their $1M donation to the artists they serve. Notable guests included Chris Adamo, Claire Breukel, Connie Butler, Mel Chin, Adriana Cisneros, Stuart Comer, Bernardo Fort-Brescia, Brian Ferriso, Stephen Friedman, Thelma Golden, Louis Grachos, Simon and Nikolai Haas, Mimi Haas, Koyo Kouoh, Hans Ulrich Obrist, José Parlá, Lee Quiñones, Brynne McNulty Rojas, Lisa Roumell, Thor Shannon and Anne Verhallen among others.
