Lincoln Road Unveils 45-Foot Kinetic Sculpture “R-Evolution”

Miami Beach, FL – November 14, 2023 – In celebration of Art Week Miami Beach, Lincoln Road proudly introduces “R-Evolution” — a monumental 45-foot-tall kinetic sculpture weighing 32,000 pounds by artist Marco Cochrane. Partnering with the City of Miami Beach, this glowing masterpiece, created by renowned artist Marco Cochrane, will grace the East Coast for the first time. Initially unveiled at Burning Man in 2015, Cochrane’s creation symbolizes feminine strength and will be displayed on the 400 Block of Lincoln Road from November 14, 2023, through April 2024.

Cochrane utilized classical sculpting techniques and a medieval enlargement tool called a pantograph to build the sculpture layer by layer. Comprising steel rod and tubing, adorned with two layers of geodesic triangles (boasting 55,000 welds) covered by a stainless-steel mesh, “R-Evolution” stands as the third and final piece in Cochrane’s impactful “The Bliss Project” series, designed to inspire social change.
