28th Annual InterContinental® Miami Make-A-Wish® Ball

Miami, FL – November 4, 2023 – Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida and InterContinental® Miami are proud to present “OCULUS – Le Sceptre Rose,” the 28th Annual InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Ball, to be held Saturday, November 4, 2023. Commemorating four decades of achievement for both presenters, the gala serves as a tribute to the 40-year anniversaries of both Make-A-Wish Southern Florida and InterContinental Miami. Funds raised at the annual Ball support Make-A-Wish Southern Florida, an organization committed to granting transformative wishes for children facing critical illnesses. 

Welcoming guests to the highly anticipated gala will be Shareef M. Malnik, Gala Chair of the InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Ball for the past 18 years, Chairman of the InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Nightclub for the past 16 years; Chairman Emeritus of Make-A-Wish Southern Florida, and Chairman of the Make-A-Wish Capital & Endowment Campaign; Glenn Sampert, General Manager of InterContinental Miami and Gala Host of the InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Ball; and Norman Wedderburn, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Southern Florida – affectionately known as “The Three Amigos.” Actress and filmmaker Gabrielle Anwar will return as celebrity emcee of the Ball for the 12th consecutive year. 

“OCULUS – Le Sceptre Rose” will showcase an animated, 3D style reminiscent of a vintage pop-up book, transporting guests into a thrilling evening of intrigue, adventure, and spy drama, as InterContinental Miami is transformed into the fictional “World Museum of Art | Musée Mondial D’art” – home to the world’s largest collection of art and jewels in Paris. The centerpiece of the night’s intrigue is the disappearance of the “Le Sceptre Rose,” the world’s most valuable piece of art. Enter “OCULUS,” the elite team of spies – Ball attendees – who will be tasked with identifying the burglars and returning the masterpiece to its rightful place. With their exceptional spy craft and athletic prowess, OCULUS embarks on a mission to save the day and restore order to the art world.
