Miami, FL – October 30, 2023 – Shoma Group has submitted updated plans for Shoma One, a striking new development in Coral Gables comprising two 40-story towers adjacent to the Douglas Road Metrorail station, as reported by sfbj news. Set to feature twin 40-story towers on a shared podium, Shoma One will offer an array of amenities, including 748 rental apartments, an 18,000-square-foot Shoma Bazaar food hall, and 718 parking spaces. Notably, the lower-level apartments facing the Metrorail will feature soundproof double-thickness glass to ensure residents enjoy a tranquil environment. The strategically located project promises easy access to the Metrorail station, with Brickell a convenient 8-minute train ride away. Shoma One will also seamlessly connect to Th underline MIA, enhancing its appeal as a transit-oriented community. Shoma Group secured the 2.5-acre site for $34 million in 2022, and the development has seen an expansion from the initial plans of two 18-story towers. This expansion was made possible by the site’s inclusion in Miami-Dade’s Rapid Transit Zone, allowing for increased intensity. Shoma Group is targeting a groundbreaking ceremony in mid-2024, with Bermello Ajamil serving as the project architect.
