Miami Beach, FL – September 16, 2023 -Miami has claimed the limelight on Instagram as home to the two most famous streets in the United States, with Ocean Drive securing the number one spot. According to a study by Wanderu, South Florida’s Ocean Drive in South Beach has a staggering 1,056,081 Instagram hashtags. Meanwhile, the second-place honor went to Northwest Second Avenue in Miami, home to the renowned Wynwood Walls, garnering 961,020 hashtags. Notably, Miami’s Calle Ocho, also known as Southwest Eighth Street in Little Havana, clinched the 16th spot with 186,284 hashtags, celebrated as a “national treasure” by the National Trust for Historic Preservation in 2017.To compile this list of the Top 20 most-hashtagged streets, Wanderu initiated its search among the 60 most populous U.S. cities. Employing ChatGPT, an AI tool, the travel blog identified five famous streets per city and then analyzed the number of Instagram hashtags each street had garnered to create this prestigious ranking.
