Miami, FL – September 6, 2023 – For the first time ever, leaders from nearly 200 women’s shelters across the country are convening in Miami to exchange information, share best practices for shelter development and operations, and identify scalable solutions during a four-day conference. Gloria Estefan, a Cuban American singer, songwriter, actress, and businesswoman and Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava will be joining National Women Shelter Network members and Constance Collins, NWSN President and founder of Miami’s Lotus House shelter, at a press conference to introduce a seven-step roadmap for ending homelessness in America, particularly for vulnerable women and children.
