WRE News: Judge Dismisses Lawsuit from Nikki Beach Owners

Miami Beach, FL – August 16, 2023 – The lawsuit brought forth against the city by Nikki Beach Miami owners Jack and Lucia Penrod has been dismissed on August 1st, moving the property to bid. In the midst of a lawsuit filed by Nikki Beach owners against the City of Miami Beach, Miami-Dade Circuit Court Judge Lisa Walsh has dismissed the lawsuit, calling the claims “speculative and unripe”. Nikki Beach owners have 20 days to file an amended complaint in response. The daytime beach club has become a popular South Beach destination and led to the emergence of other Nikki Beach locations internationally since its lease with the city began in the mid-1980s.
