Megafauna Land Dwellers at YoungArts

Miami, FL – May 4, 2023 – YoungArts celebrated the exhibition opening of “Megafauna Land Dwellers” with a reception in the YoungArts Gallery. Curated by Naomi Fisher, the exhibition features works by 28 interdisciplinary and intergenerational voices—all YoungArts award winners—and presents explorations of pressing environmental issues through ideas around eco-feminism, nature and wildlife conservation, artificial landscapes, activism and biodiversity.

YoungArts leadership and board members, art enthusiasts, members of the arts community and YoungArts supporters, including Robert Chambers, Clive Chang, Ali Codina, Rosie Gordon Wallace, Rich Kohan,  Kathryn and Dan Mikesell, Arielle Patrick and Jodi Sklar, amongst many others, gathered in the YoungArts Gallery for the exhibition opening reception, exploring the works on view and taking the opportunity to meet and have an exchange with the curators and participating artists who were present: Liza Butts, Catherine Camargo, Juan Jose Cielo, Michael Loveland, Jonathan Lovett, Lilly Mitrani, Isabel Oliva, Lee Pivnik, Coralina Rodriguez Meyer, Nicole Salcedo, Zoe Schweiger and Cornelius Tulloch.
