WRE News: Civil Trial Between Ball & Chain’s Barlington Group v Joe Carollo Moves to Jury Selection

Not to be confused with the highly anticipated Ball & Chain lawsuit, which is set for trial later this year and pits Mad Room Hospitality (Bill Fuller, Ben Bush, and Zack Bush) vs The City of Miami.

Ball & Chain Bar and Lounge boasts a rich and vibrant history as captivating as the surrounding Calle Ocho. What began as Ball & Chain Saloon along a dirt road that would grow to become Eighth Street, has grown through over nearly one hundred years, hosting performances by once-in-a-lifetime talent the likes of Billie Holiday, Chet Baker, and Count Bassie– the last of whom notoriously sued the saloon in the 1950’s for not abiding to the talent’s contract, leading to bankruptcy and closing of the mid-century iteration of Ball & Chain.
