Miami, FL – March 3, 2023 – On Friday, March 3 Locust Projects continued the celebration of their 25th Anniversary Year by opening the doors of their new art space in Little River to the public featuring an inaugural immersive exhibition by Rafael Domenech. Domenech’s project titled, assembling beneath a desire for sabotage, is a play on what the artist sees as challenging notions of what an exhibition is, and what it means to gather in space. To accompany the innovative gallery activation, guests enjoyed Shorty’s BBQ and beer from Ecpoca Brewing.

The new space in Little River is Locust’s 4th home since it was founded by three pioneering artists in Wynwood in 1998. As a space founded by artists, for artists, Locust Projects remains true to COOPER, Westen Charles and Elizabeth Withstandley’s original vision to provide artists with the time, space and resources to create ambitious new work and build community and critical dialogue on contemporary art.
