Miami, FL – October 22, 2022 – Friday, October 21st through Sunday, October 23rd, Tel Aviv University hosted Fall 4 TAU, a celebration of the University and its life-changing research and work to advance the world through innovation, education and impact.
The highlight of the weekend-long event took place on the evening of Saturday, October 22, when TAU held A Night at the Rubell Art Museum, a cocktail and dinner reception with keynote speaker, Major General Amikam Norkin (Former Commander of the Israeli Air Force), noted that the advancements from Tel Aviv University have assisted Israeli Defense Force. Norkin reminded the crowd that the iron dome was created by a Tel Aviv University alum.
Notably in attendance was Amos Elad, VP Resource Development & Alumni Affairs, TAU; Yael Regev, VP Tel Aviv University; Professor Dan Peer, VP of Research at Tel Aviv University, David Scharia, Chief of Branch for the United Nations Security Council and the Counter Terrorism Executive Directorate and Leslie Benitah, Ike Fisher, and Lourdes Suarez, Miri Segal, Yehuda & Pearl Naftali. Tel Aviv University is a renowned educational institution, which remains a center for innovation. This was highlighted throughout the weekend with a number of programs across a number of industries and disciplines, including speakers and presentations such as TAU in Hollywood with Alon Aranya, TAU alum and producer of Tehran, The Future of Blockchain, featuring panelists Michelle Abbs, Founder, Web3 Equity; Avery Akkineni, President, VaynerNFT; and Dr. Michael Mylrea, Cyber Executive. Additionally, Using the Brain in Business: Ideas From Neuroscience that Will Change the Way Business is Done, was presented by Professor Moran Cerf, TAU alum, Neuroscientist and Business Professor at the Kellogg School of Management and the Neuroscience Program at Northwestern University.
