Miami, FL – October 20, 2022 – Oolite Arts had a full house at Resident Night at their opening of their fall exhibitions. The evening got an exciting start at 6 p.m. with a member preview. Once the doors opened to the public, the hallways were quickly filled with visitors who came to celebrate the opening of “Miami is Not the Caribbean. Yet it Feels Like it,” a group exhibition curated by Danny Baez. Downstairs at the 928 gallery, visitors interacted with Germane Barnes’ installation “Rosie’s Fare,” which is an homage to his grandmother. The visitors wandered through the non-traditional kitchen Barnes constructed in the space. After checking out the exhibitions, attendees toured resident artists’ studios and enjoyed music by D0tson.”
