Miami, FL – August 4, 2022 – Angels for Humanity and the Caleb and Calder Sloan’s Awesome Foundation in partnership with Alonzo and Tracy Mourning Charities’ Overtown Youth Center and Honey Shine, Inc. present a Back to School Health & Wellness Fair. The event took place on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Williams Park in Historic Overtown, located at 1717 NW 5 Avenue, Miami, FL, 33136, from 10AM-3PM.

The 2022 Back to School Health & Wellness Fair offered numerous activities, resources and giveaways to provide families with back-to-school support. Angels for Humanity volunteers performed free medical screenings, free dental screenings, arts and crafts, boy’s haircuts, girl’s hair braiding, free backpacks loaded with supplies and interactive games for all to enjoy. It was a full day of learning, food, and lots of fun. This annual event is one that is vital to the community and imperative for the morale of the neighborhood kids going back to school, as some families may not be able to afford basic back to school screenings and checkups, as well as new backpacks with required school supplies. Being able to provide these children with the basics to start their school year is a top priority mission of Angels for Humanity and their partners. Angels For Humanity is grateful for all their supplemental partners that made this event happen
