Miami Beach, FL – May 11, 2022 – The Climate Champions Dinner was a curated dinner for 50 innovators and investors at Chikita Faena presented by ZIOME featuring members of our community who are taking action in the climate and tech space. An informative panel on Climate Innovation was moderated by Investor Karen Moon, featuring founders Courtney Murtha from ZIOME, Alexsandra Guerra from Nori, and Anya Freeman from Living Seawalls by Kind Design.

The fungUS among presented the food by Chef Tazos featuring mushrooms harvested for the event from organic fungus farms, and guests enjoyed action oriented conversations, live music by The Hongs and an interactive art exhibit and in-person minting opportunity presented by Hypercube Art. ‘Kin-tails’ were presented by Kin, cocktails by Rosaluna Mezcal and Proud Source Spring Water kept guests well hydrated.

Living Seawalls by Kind Design is addressing the rising sea-level challenge through the convergence of three technologies: 3D Printing, sensor tech, and material science. We  are 3D printing living seawalls that function as coral reefs and improve the quality of water. The living seawalls have built-in sensors to track essential water quality data. They are cheaper, faster to construct, longer lasting and exponentially better for the environment. the fungUS among is the future of food. They are coordinating the cultivation of local culinary fungUS around the world. They are currently looking for warehouse space in the Miami to expand their fungus growing operations and chef training facilities locally.
