Miami Beach, FL – May 6, 2022 – On Friday, May 6, Brugal 1888, a premium rum produced in the Dominican Republic, unveiled the newest location of “Wonders Await at La Ventanita” with a weekend-long Formula 1 Edition at Fontainebleau Miami Beach. The three-day pop-up featured hand-crafted rum cocktails, Spanish-style light bites as well as an F1-inspired art installation by globally renowned Mexican artist, Cesar Menchaca of Menchaca Studio.

Located in the lobby of Fontainebleau Miami Beach, La Ventanita greeted guests with vibrant energy reminiscient of an evening in the Dominican Republic. Guests sipped on signature serves prepared by master mixologists while enjoying music and Brugal 1888 branded domino sets. The cocktail menu included the Don Nano’s Favourite, Brugal 1888 served over a coconut ice sphere, the Caribbean Negroni, with Brugal 1888, Italian bitters and sweet vermouth; and the Brugal 1888 Cafecito Martini, featuring Brugal 1888, coffee liqueur and espresso. A selection of Brugal-infused Spanish bites were available including serrano ham, cod and cheese croquettes with Dominican-style spicy salsa, and chocolate coconut puffed pastries blending orange essence and topped with coconut flakes.

While indulging in Brugal 1888’s signature sips and serves, guests perused Menchaca’s Formula 1-inspired art installation, all colorfully adorned with his signature style, Huichol – an art form that highlights Mexico’s indigenous cultures. The installation featured helmets, race cars and specially designed Brugal 1888 bottles.  Menchaca’s work is widely recognized for its use of Huichol art and this latest installation at the Brugal 1888 La Ventanita celebrated South Florida’s growing evolution and its thriving culinary and arts scenes. Menchaca first collaborated with Brugal 1888 in 2021 to create limited-edition Brugal rum bottles, fusing two of the most emblematic elements of the Dominican Republic and Mexico: the art of Rum making expressed through Mexican Art. The bottles tell the story of the brand bead by bead (a characteristic element of Huichol art) and the odyssey and journey founder Don Andrés Brugal undertook to the islands of the Caribbean.
