Miami, FL – April 7, 2022 – Stitch Lab is back and bigger than ever for its fifth anniversary. In celebration of this milestone, the talent incubator hosted its first-ever fashion show at Paradise Plaza in Miami Design District to kick-off the beloved three-day shopping experience that brings Latin America’s top emerging designers under one roof. The one-of-a-kind fashion show featured unique looks curated by Venezuelan stylist Mariela Ortega, combining pieces from all the designers participating this year that champion diversity and body inclusivity. Nearly 200 guests enjoyed a private fashion show and early preview of the pop-up, including Latin American and Miami-based fashion influencers, talent, press and changemakers in the fashion industry. Some notable attendees included Calle y Poche, Atenas Hernandez, Laura Tobón, Daniela Ospina and many more.
In the fifth edition of the pop-up, Stitch Lab is highlighting 38 designers across Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Panama, and Mexico. Fashion categories are diverse, including apparel, handbags, jewelry, lingerie, shoes and swimwear. This year Stitch Lab also continues its partnership with the Miami Design District as the official sponsor and host, as well as Maison Marcel, ProColombia and TRESemmé, which participated with an on-site salon for attendees to receive free hair touch-ups by celebrity hair stylist Marco Peña.
