Miami, FL – April 30, 2022 – On Saturday, April 30, over 3,300 guests celebrated Earth Day 2022 presented by FPL SolarNow at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Downtown Miami. During this special day of hands-on climate activities, guests immersed themselves in Florida’s ecosystems, tackled environmental engineering design challenges, discovered Miami’s wildlife, and explored ancient sea levels with scientists. They conducted experiments with local government agencies, non-profits and companies, and assisted the museum’s MUVE (Museum Volunteers for the Environment) conservation program assess South Florida biodiversity by participating in a “City Nature Challenge” walk. The event also included a special preview screening of the new Miami Wild documentary, narrated by Miami icon and GRAMMY-award winner Gloria Estefan, and the immersive #InMyShoes VR Experience. Earth Day 2022 at Frost Science was generously supported by FPL SolarNow.
