Miami, FL – February 23, 2022 – On Wednesday, February 23, Brugal 1888, a premium rum produced in the Dominican Republic, celebrated its final secret location for La Ventanita at Rodilla Wynwood, nestled in Miami’s eclectic art district. Guests were welcomed by beats of tropical live music, courtesy of Javier Garcia Band, as they made their way to the La Ventanita counter to sip on hand-crafted Brugal 1888 cocktails paired with Spanish style tapas. Guest bartender Andy Cabrera from the iconic Café La Trova – recognized while he was on-site as a James Beard Award semifinalist for the “Outstanding Bar Program” category – showcased his skills as he prepared three specialty drinks blending the premium spirit: El Cafecito featuring espresso, coffee liqueur, vanilla liqueur and demerara; Brutal fusing grapefruit juice, lime juice, rosemary-ginger syrup, martini fiero, peychaud bitters, Cava Rosé and elderflower foam; and Mangu Old Fashioned blending demerara, cardamom bitters and banana.

A Paleta Cart offered refreshing boozy treats made with Brugal 1888 and Dominican vanilla, and a vibrant photobooth display provided space for picture-perfect moments. As the evening ended, guests left with memories that will last a lifetime and a branded gift box including a bag of rum barrel aged coffee beans, a cafetera, and a bottle of Brugal 1888. Brugal 1888’s La Ventanita will close out the last day of its multi-neighborhood pop-up series with a celebration in honor of Dominican Republic’s Independence Day on Sunday, February 27. Guests will enjoy cafecitos, a menu of authentic Dominican bites such as tostones rellenos, mofongo and Brugal 1888-infused banana cake bites, and craft rum cocktails.
