Brugal 1888 Hosts Exclusive Tasting Dinner at Jaguar Sun

Miami, FL – August 9, 2021 – Brugal 1888, a premium rum produced in Dominican Republic, hosted an intimate tasting dinner on Monday, August 9 at Jaguar Sun. Upon arrival, guests were greeted with Brugal 1888’s classic “Don Nano’s Favorite” cocktail, fused with the premium rum, coconut water and ice. Guests socialized and sipped on the hand-crafted drink before the multi-course pairing experience commenced.

Savory upscale dishes such as Beausoleil oysters with yuzu kosho mignonette, Wagyu tartare with leek ash aioli and Kaluga caviar, and spicy rigatoni were served with a variety of Brugal 1888 cocktails. The cocktail menu consisted of the “Daiquiri”, with lime, lime leaf and cane sugar, “Periodista,” with apricot, smoked curacao and lime, and “Barracuda,” with coffee, calvados, turbinado, bitters and orange oil. The dessert course featured foi gras infused with Brugal 1888, shaved over a passionfruit mousse and Brugal 1888 double aged rum jelly.

Brugal 1888 Ambassadors Alexis Calero and Gabriel Urrutia mingled with guests and discussed the legacy brand, highlighting the hand-crafted rum’s well-rounded and smooth tasting notes of toffee and vanilla balanced with peach, cocoa and cloves. As the evening concluded, guests left with a Brugal 1888 gift bag, including a bottle of the rum, and with a dose of the Dominican Republic’s vibrant flare.
