Miami Marlins Celebrate War Heroes on Water Night at loanDepot Park

Miami, FL – July 5, 2021 – The Miami Marlins celebrated War Heroes on Water (WHOW) on Monday, July 5 at loanDepot park with local combat wounded Veterans. WHOW is the therapeutic sport-fishing tournament for combat wounded Veterans created in 2018 by loanDepot Founder and CEO Anthony Hsieh. WHOW has raised more than $1 Million to support Veterans services. Prior to the game, Hsieh threw out the ceremonial first pitch with Freedom Alliance Program Officer Mike Nares. Nares, a retired Army Staff Sergeant, who was deployed three times to Iraq and Afghanistan and was awarded two Purple Heart medals and two Bronze Star medals, among other decorations.
