Jersey Mike’s Surprises Local Special Olympics Florida Athlete Andy Miyares with News of Attending The 2022 Special Olympics USA Games

Miami, FL – June 10, 2021 – On Thursday, June 10, Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs served at nearly 2,000 locations nationwide, surprised local Special Olympics Florida athlete, Andy Miyares, with the news that he will be attending the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games. Miami-Dade Mayor, Daniella Levine Cava, and a Special Olympics Florida spokesperson were in attendance to announce to Andy in front of family and friends.

Every four years, more than 5,500 athletes and coaches from all 50 states unite to compete in one of the most beloved and inspiring sporting events in the US – the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games. It is all part of a global movement using sports to end discrimination and empower people with intellectual disabilities.
