Miami, FL – May 7, 2021 – Chapman Partnership’s Take a Walk in Her Shoes Redesigned walked a new path to celebrate a few of Miami’s top women philanthropists and inspiring leaders on Friday, May 7 at the Biltmore Hotel and various watch parties hosted in home across the community. 315 guests joined the hybrid event in one unifying mission – empowering the homeless women and children at Chapman Partnership. Together, they raised more than $174,000 to end homelessness for the residents served at Chapman Partnership.
Spearheaded by Event Co-Chairs Brigid Cech Samole, Bronwyn Miller and Migna Sanchez-Llorens, and Honorary Chairs Trish and Dan Bell, the event offered an opportunity to reconnect with old friends, delight in delectable bites and listen to inspirational words from the three 2021 Take a Walk in Her Shoes honorees: accomplished actress Gabrielle Anwar, passionate philanthropist Asha Elias, and Miami-Dade County Public School’s Teacher of the Year Teresa Murphy. The program was emceed by six-time Emmy award winning journalist, Laurie Jennings, and Symeria Hudson, President and CEO of Chapman Partnership. During the luncheon, guests were asked to commit to the “Count on Me” Campaign with a $50 donation per month for 12 months. This directly impacts the lives of the women and children at Chapman Partnership. All who commit become members of Womenade.
This campaign will run through May 31st, and seeks to raise an additional $40,000 from the caring and dedicated women of our community. For more information, Cleopatra Bauduy at cbauduy@chapmanpartnership.org or 305-329-3055. www.chapmanpartnership.org
