Miami Beach, FL – May 23, 2021 – To close out SOBEWFF, artisanal Mexican born spirits brand Los Magos, celebrated the U.S. launch of their award-winning Sotol in the U.S. with an exciting happy hour event at local hotspot Sweet Liberty. Guests were able to enjoy expertly mixed cocktails made by award-winning Bartender & Restaurateur Sean Kenyon and learn more about the rich history of this Chihuahuan desert specialty from the Co-Founder and Chief Production Officer of Los Magos, Juan Pablo Carvajal.
Los Magos’ proprietary recipe was created in partnership with the Jaquez Family Distillery. Honoring six generations of craftsmanship, its unique distillation method dates back 120 years when master distiller Don Cuco founded Jaquez Family Distillery in Janos, Mexico. The distinctive Los Magos Sotol recipe is based on the idea of a spirit that is “soft” on the palate while still showcasing the great variety of flavors the spirit has to offer. The beauty of the expression is the experimentation with aging, a tradition that did not previously exist in Sotol making. Through triple distillation, Los Magos achieves superior quality and approachability for all facets of consumption.
