Miami, FL – April 17, 2021 – On Saturday, April 17th, guests safely celebrated Earth Day presented by FPL SolarNow at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Downtown Miami. The day was filled with special activities and programs throughout the museum which highlighted this year’s movement to restore our Earth, including connecting with onsite scientists, exploring emerging green technologies and more. Local organizations were onsite to showcase their innovative thinking, including Miami Surfrider Foundation, Dream in Green, The CLEO Institute, VolunteerCleanUp.org, Florida Atlantic University, and the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. In addition to exploring museum exhibitions, guests also had the opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt throughout the museum, make a pledge on an outdoor pledge wall, and take part in an interactive LED lamp workshop with Moonlighter Makerspace.
