Miami, FL – March 20, 2021 – The Adrienne Arsht Center hosted an intimate performance by multi-Grammy Award-winning pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba and Grammy Award-winning Cuban vocalist Aymée Nuviola on Saturday, March 20. The duo performed selections from their acclaimed 2021 Grammy-nominated album, Viento y Tiempo. The album, which was recorded live in 2020 from The Blue Note in Tokyo, reunites virtuoso pianist Rubalcaba and powerhouse vocalist Nuviola – childhood friends – in a heartfelt tribute to their early lives in Cuba, their mothers, and the music that surrounded them growing up. The concert hosted a limited-capacity audience to a unique socially-distanced musical experience directly on the Lynn Wolfson Stage in the Ziff Ballet Opera House.
