Miami Beach, FL – February 25, 2021 – On Thursday night, the Eve of Purim, guests enjoyed a safe, outdoors and socially distanced Purim party. The event was sports themed featuring a concession stand with a delicious dinner buffet including the traditional Hamantashen & some spirits, a live halftime Circus show entertaining adults and kids and holiday mask crafts. Families had their caricatures drawn to take home as a souvenir.

The Megillah was read by Chabad’s Rabbi Shmuli Lezak accompanied by a multimedia presentation depicting the 2000 year old story of Purim. Many came dressed in costumes as is tradition for the Purim holiday, celebrating the victory and survival of the Jewish people from the wicked Haman in the year 356 BCE.

“We are so thankful to be able to provide a safe event for Jews in Miami Beach to comfortably celebrate the holiday” said Sara Lezak, the events coordinator and co-director of Chabad of Bayshore, Miami Beach. “The Purim joy was felt in the air and the event was enjoyed by all.”
