Miami Beach, FL – February 21, 2020 – Jamaica came back to #SOBEWFF! The Festival tapped Chefs JJ Johnson and Andre Fowles to round up some of the best chefs to dish up a second taste of the islands at The National Hotel, nestled in the heart of South Beach. James Beard Award-winning Chef JJ Johnson, of FieldTrip in Harlem, NY was joined by Chef Andre Fowles, Appleton Estate Premier Rums ‘Rumbassador’, current culinary ambassador for Jamaican Cuisine and owner of Everything Food based in New York, NY. Together they made sure everything went more than alright at this evening soirée paying homage to the classic flavors of Jamaica and the islands – from signature jerk preparations to saltfish, ackee, breadfruit, roti, and more! This amped up affair made all worries fade away as guests swayed to the sounds of DJ Irie with plenty of libations to whisk them away to a truly marvelous Jamaican-inspired experience.
