Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars Wine Spectator Wine Seminar at Eden Roc Miami Beach
Miami Beach, FL – February 22, 2020 – SOBEWFF guests joined winemaker Marcus Notaro on a journey through the decades as Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, one of Napa Valley’s “First Growth” wineries, celebrated its 50th Anniversary. Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars produces renowned Cabernet Sauvignon from its historic estate vineyard in the Stag’s Leap District of Napa Valley. The winery brought international recognition to California winemaking when the 1973 S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon won the now famous 1976 Paris Tasting, also known as the “Judgment of Paris.” Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars’ three estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignons – CASK 23, S.L.V. and FAY – are among the most highly regarded and collected Cabernet Sauvignons worldwide. The same classic style of the estate wines is expressed in the Napa Valley wines – AVETA Sauvignon Blanc, KARIA Chardonnay and ARTEMIS Cabernet Sauvignon. Winemaker Marcus Notaro, head winemaker since 2013, lead a tasting journey through the decades, highlighting milestones in the winery’s storied history. Attendees had the chance to taste a few special library wines.
