2020 For the Love of Learning Gala at JW Marriott Marquis Miami
Miami Beach, FL – February 22, 2020 – The fifth annual For the Love of Learning Gala, co-chaired by Trish and Dan Bell and Maria and Alberto M. Carvalho, Superintendent of Schools, took place at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami. The Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) Class of 2020 Alumni Hall of Fame inductees were honored at the gala; Barry Jenkins, Mitchell Kaplan, Tarell Alvin McCraney, Sam Moore, and Stephen M. Ross. Over 500 gala attendees were treated to an out-of-this-world night, raising over $650,000 to enhance student achievement and other educational initiatives.
