The Surfrider Foundation Miami Transformed Nikki Beach

Miami Beach, FL – November 15, 2019 – Guests gathered on Friday evening at Nikki Beach Miami as The Surfrider Foundation celebrated a tropical evening highlighting and celebrating local environmental game-changers who protect what we love- our oceans, beaches and waves.

The evening honored their local Champions of Surf and Sand and individuals who have been influential in both the public and private sector. Surfrider brings together leaders, including those from the finance, politics, media, surf, fashion, music, real estate, hospitality, and marketing industries. This event was a benefit for Surfrider Miami’s Blue Water Task Force (BTWF) – a volunteer-run, citizen science water testing, education and advocacy program. Celebrating and Honoring our Ocean Health Champions. Honorees included, Louis Aguirre, TV & Media Personality, Christian de la Iglesias, late owner of F1RST Surf Shop, Dara Schoenwald, founder of VolunteerCleanup.Org. and David Doebler, sustainability chairperson, City of Miami Beach.
