Miami, FL – October 3, 2019 – Hundreds of prospective volunteers from across Miami-Dade County gathered Thursday at the county’s Pet Adoption and Protection Center in Doral to learn about ways to give back to homeless pets. Numerous ambassador dogs and cats were on hand to interact with guests and help show them what a rewarding experience volunteering, fostering, or adopting can be. The shelter relies heavily on volunteers to support its day-to-day operations and improve the lives of shelter pets and get homeless pets into forever homes. This new wave of volunteers will greatly improve the quality of services shelter pets receive and help increase homeless pets’ chances of being adopted.
