Miami, FL – July 19, 2019 – The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Downtown Miami hosted a special edition of LIVE@Frost Science featuring Senator Bill Nelson on Friday, July 19. The event was part of the museum’s celebrations honoring the 50th anniversary of the historic Moon landing of Apollo 11. The evening began with an imitate reception on the fifth floor of the museum followed by a presentation in the Frost Planetarium. Senator Nelson shared stories about his voyage to space on the Space Shuttle Columbia and his insights into the long-range economic and sociological impacts of the space program. Guests also enjoyed complimentary ice cream courtesy of Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream. VIP guests included U.S. Congresswoman Donna Shalala, State Senator Annette Taddeo, State Senator Oscar Braynon II, State Representative Michael Grieco, City of Miami Commissioner Ken Russell and former State Representative David Richardson.
