Jazz Roots Post-Show Reception at Adrienne Arsht Center

Miami, FL – April 12, 2019 – The Adrienne Arsht Center’s celebrated Jazz Roots series concluded its 2018-2019 season with an electrifying concert by Grammy-winning keyboardist and producer Sergio Mendes on Friday, April 12. The crowd jumped to their feet several times during the show at the Knight Concert Hall as Mendes performed such iconic hits as “Magalenha,” “Never Gonna Let You Go,” “Going Out of My Head,” and “Mas Que Nada.” Following the concert, Center supporters and leaders joined Mendes and his opening act, The Rodriguez Brothers, for an intimate reception inside the Cejas Patrons Club. Also joining the artists were guests from the Jazz Roots series’ new presenting sponsor, EFG Capital, which will be supporting the series during the 2019-2020 season.
