Miami Beach, FL – April 30, 2019 – Faena Rose concluded its robust April calendar with an intimate conversation with the Innocence Project, a powerful non-profit that uses DNA testing to exonerate wrongly convicted prisoners and reforms the criminal justice system to prevent future injustices. Hosting the conversation was Jason Flom, the CEO of Lava Records and founding board member of the Innocence Project, and recent exoneree, Clemente Aguirre, who incorrectly charged with murder in 2006 and spent 14 years behind bars. On the eve of his second death penalty trial, Clemente was exonerated for all charges based on DNA evidence provided by the Innocence Project. Throughout the conversation, Jason and Clemente explored the current state of America’s incarceration system and how one can help the vulnerable community of the wrongly convicted.

The Innocence Project is a powerful non-profit that focuses on exonerating the wrongly convicted through DNA testing and reforming the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice.
